Hi Terry,

in Jaws 2021, there is a new feature for reading URLs:


  *   If focused on a link and you press INSERT+F1 for screen-sensitive help, 
the link address is displayed at the top of the help window. This enables you 
to quickly verify the source of a link in an email message or on a web page if 
there is concern that it could be a phishing link.

Hi, prior to an update, I used to be able arrow through a displayed link in an 
e-mail to get the spelling.  Now it is just a link unable to arrow through it 
letter-by-letter.
Question:  What steps can I do to be able to arrow letter-by-letter through the 
link content?
I am Using JAWS, Windows 10, and Outlook 2016.

For the life of me, I could not remember the hot  Key  you mentioned.
Goes to show you that I just don’t use window   Eyes   much anymore.
Heck, I don’t even use windows much. Smile.

Hey Butch, and Rod.

This can also be due to dynamic content changes on the page. You can try
opening the Window-Eyes control panel and going to General, Other, Allow
auto-redraw, and make sure it's off.
You can also try the browse mode refresh rotor hot key, which is Alt+Shift+M
in the desktop layout. It's used to suspend auto-refresh in browse mode. But
the odd thing is I just tried it in Chrome and it says "not a valid key." I
reassigned the key and it still says the same. Yet if I turn on the key
describer and press the keys it says refresh rotor. So I don't know what's
up with that.

I'm wondering which browser you are using.
Your experience reminds me of the days when flash was running on the
webpage.
In windows 10 at least, flash has been uninstalled by the flash program
itself since it is no longer being supported.
I don't know whether this is true under Windows 7.
Anyway, just some thoughts.

 I find on several web pages using window-eyes as I am
trying to scrole down the page, it suddenly reloads and puts me back at the
top of the page.  Does this over and over as I'm trying to move around.  Any
ideas?  If I load n v d a, I don't have this problem.
