Re: Win 10 and WE 9.5

2017-03-18 Thread James Wohlgamuth via Talk
Hi DAVE!
I have to agree with you 100 percent! I have been running windows 10
for quite some time now and have little or no issues with it and
Window-Eyes aside from a few miner annoyances. The last time I
checked the W.E. SMAs were still available so this tells me that
someone is still working on W.E. I guess their staff has been thinned
out quite a bit but they are still working on W.E. BTW, I received a
Windows update just a couple days ago although I am certain that it
wasn't the big one-at least I don't think it was anyhow. Anyway,If
Window-Eyes does go away I will just have to learn a new screen
reader-I have learned quite afew since my DOS days so having to learn
another isn't really a big deal for me. Actually I am kind of looking
forward to it, if it actually happens, since I really do enjoy a good
challenge! It doesn't take me long to catch onto new technology
anyhow. Anyway, Just thoght I would give my 2-sense worth.
Have A Good 1! de

Re: Window-eyes for windows 10

2017-03-17 Thread James Wohlgamuth via Talk
Jay, I have been using Window-Eyes with windows 10 since the initial
release of windows 10 and for the most part as long as you have the
latest version of Winow-Eyes it appears to work fairly well. I am
running a variety of software and with a few exceptions it works well.
The exceptions don't appear to work with NVDA or Narator either. Give
it a try. Good Luck& Have A Great Day! de

Hay, I love y Window-Eyes, and yes it is still working almost
flawlessly for me so I say leave it a lone and if you want JAWs
purchase it! When Window-Eyes seases to work for me I will consider
purchasing JAWS. Until then don't mess with my window-eyes! BTW, if I
have to make the change at some point in the future,I will just make
it and let it go at that. THANKS A Great Day! de

thunderbird?

2017-02-28 Thread James Wohlgamuth via Talk
Hi there FOLKS!
For some reason I have been totally unable to use ThunderBird. This
appears to have started several days ago because before then all
worked well. As I have stated in earlier messages, I okasionally
receive the message that thunderbird is not responding- wait on the
program to respond, or close it out. I generally select the 'wait on
program to respond' and it eventually will. Well now it seems to not
respond at all? I have let it sit there fore 30 minutes and it does
nothing..? Any suggestions on what I might try? P.S. I have tried it
using my main screen reader Window-Eyes, NVDA and even Narator with
the same exact results. I find it much easier to read and compose
mail using thunderbird rather than using a browser to perform these
tasks. Any suggestions on what I might try? Any help would be
greatly appreciated! de

ThunderBird working-sort of anyhow..?

2015-09-10 Thread James Wohlgamuth via Talk
Hi there Folks!
For some reason within the last half hour to 45 minutes my ThunderBird
has been stuck. All I get when I go in to ThunderBird IS the message,
"Trash mailbox 1 of 2" Now it seems as though it has also lost my
eMail Password as well. As I stated this problem has only been going
on for about the last 45 minutes to hour. Does anyone have any
suggestions on what I might try to get back into my normal view of
ThunderBird? I am running W.E. 9.1 on a 29 GHZ processor with 4 GHB of
ram. Much THANKS! & 73 de
