Re: email program recommendation

2016-07-28 Thread Wayne via Talk
Kim, there's an email program that comes with windows 7, it's called
winmail. I've been using it for a number of years, it works so well you'd
think you were using outlook express. Note this will take a little
configuration on your part. It's very important that you follow the
configuration instructions very carefully. This is a link to download the
configuration package.

WMInW7RepairFiles.zip (1.7 MB).
The download link is:

It's easy, but if you need help you can contact me at

Subject: email program recommendation

Hi everyone,
I'm currently using Window-Eyes version 8.4. I'm starting to have real
difficulty with Windows XP and Internet Explorer, so I decided to finally
get a newer computer which comes with Windows 7. I realize that Windows x
is now out there, but this is the route I'm going to take for now, because
it's a good deal. I'm currently using Outlook Express. I understand that
this no longer works with Windows 7. Does anyone have a recommendation
for a good email program that works well with Window-Eyes and also Windows
7?

Kim Lingo

Re: somewhat off topic--can i text someone's phone from my computer

2016-08-20 Thread Wayne via Talk

Kitty, I can send a text from my computer to my verizon phone with
vzwpix.com
So for an example to text a verizon phone number from my computer I would
put in the to field

1234567...@vzwpix.com
A friend told me about the extention vtex.com that linda mentioned but it
didn't seem to work for me, but I'll try it again. Here's how you can send a
text message from your computer to a t-mobile phone:

In the to field from the computer you would write for example
1234567...@tmomail.net
Matthew, thank you for the information of the address of sending a text
message to an a t and t phone which I wanted to know about.

Arlene

I tried texting using the postings for verizon wireless. Almost 48 hours
later, none of the texts have gone through nor have I gotten undeliverable
messages. So, am thinking it doesn't work.
