RE: Windows 10 tablets

2015-11-08 Thread g melconian via Talk
I am hoping that window eyes in version 9.3 or what ever version does
support touch screen both their paid and free competition have it in their
offerings and I am wondering how come this is not offered in the window
eyes offering. If windows 10 is so great with touch experiecne then how come
the rock solid company can not provide the touch support to their screen
reader . Again window eyes has fallen behind in the innovative space they
usually claim that they are in.

RE: Third party scanning software

2015-11-05 Thread g melconian via Talk
, how much are you willing to spend. There is abby fine reader which is
about $200 which is very accessible with Window eyes. There is also omni
page 19 ultimate that is for the enterprise but that's a bit pricy .There is
open book which will do the job from freedom scientific for $999. Also there
is kurzweil 1000 as well which works really well with window eyes. Both open
book an kurzweil can be downloaded as a trial before you decide to purchase
the applications. There is a 30 day trial window. So these are the
solution that I can give which I have used with window eyes 9.2. .

Subject: Introducing Virtual View 5.0

Virtual View 5.0 now supports exciting new features such as the ability to
OCR images from files or the screen, plus virtualizing various document
formats, including PDF files. Here are some other features:

* You can open an image in any format (jpg, bmp, png, tiff,
etc.).
* If you press Alt-Print Screen to capture the active window,
Virtual View will automatically OCR it for you.
* The Virtual View options dialog lets you control image
manipulation to increase OCR success.
* Supports UAC, allowing you to get contents (specifically UIA)
from windows that are elevated.

* Images inside PDF files are prepended with [BEGIN
IMAGE] and appended with [END IMAGE].
* You can choose several different kinds of file formats to
virtualize, including:

* Txt

* Html

* Xml

* Zip

* And if you have Office installed:

?  Docx

?  Xlsx

?  Pptx

Imagine a Word document filled with text boxes and word art. That
information will show up as plain text when passed through Virtual View.
Spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations are the same way. If you want to
quickly skim a PowerPoint presentation without opening PowerPoint, use
Virtual View.

With zip files, Virtual View can open the zip file and get the text of all
text files. At the very least, you can get a list of the files in the
archive.

I don't think you can hhide the search box. That's there by default and
there is nothing you can do about it. I actually think it's a very useful
tool to type what you want in the search box and it will go to it.this is
very useful for windows 8.1 and windows 10 and so I will use it.

Hi, Jeremy. While I don't work for Ai Squared, I couldn't resist answering
Vaughan's question in a joking manner. Vaughan, Jeremy indicated that this
e-mail is for a teaser campaign for a product coming soon. The campaign is
a teaser indeed! We users are being teased with unreadable html code so
we'll wonder what product Ai Squared is going to release. Sorry, but I
couldn't resist. Thanks Jeremy for trying to explain what image the
alternative text is supposed to describe. A woman wearing a wig? Who knew.
I have a feeling many an e-mail client stripped out the alternative text.
The html code doesn't sound like the description of a woman wearing a wig.
The word padding was included in the code, so perhaps the wig has padding?
Hmmm. I wonder. Ok, ok, I'm done, I promise.

Mike M.
