Hi Barbara, 
I think you are having trouble finding the correct add on. The add-on manager 
in internet explorer is a pretty difficult interface to work with. If you would 
like some one on one help, maybe you can try calling the Microsoft disability 
answer desk. They should be able to assist you with this process.

OK I did what this reference says, but I do not really understand.  When I
go into Tools, then manage add ons, I have the toolbar and extensions
checked.  The next tab has 4 choices.  I have tried all 4 choices with the
same results.  There are 6 items listed in the following field.  Only the
first one says produced by Adobe.  However it is saying shockwave flash by
Adobe.  It does not say Adobe reader.  This is enabled.  This does not sound
like the same as in the article on your link below.  Also I find it
interesting that the article does not mention Internet explorer 11.  OK
maybe the steps have not changed, maybe they have.  What do you think?

I have Adobe XI.  I have Internet Explorer 11.  When I want to open a PDF at
an internet site, I want this to open in a different window.  I looked
around in the Adobe settings without finding how to make this happen.  I
