On my Win 7 64 bit system, Gold Wave, or Win Eyes would freeze fairly often. In fact, the longer I was using Gold Wave, the higher the probability of it locking up during that session of running Gold Wave. Always thought this had more to do with RAM getting messed up as this system only has 4 GB or memory.
On my Win 10 system, I have more memory, and I rarely have Gold Wave freeze and Win Eyes also runs much much better. I too am not having the same level of access with the latest edition of Gold Wave. Even using the Right and Left arrows to move through the audio file does not work as it did in earlier editions of Gold Wave and or Windows. I do most of my Editing on the older system.
