RE: Problem after installing WE 9.4 evaluation.
Hi: Usually, when an update to WindowEyes comes out, there is a rash of complaints from folks who are trying to get the update as soon as possible. As one of the AI Squared staff pointed out, the server can get overloaded and things might work erratically. After the first day, the problems usually calm down. So, a good rule of thumb is, unless you have an urgent need for the latest update, just give it a day or so, and things will probably work better. And, that sounds like just how things went for you. -Original Message- From: Talk [mailto:talk-bounces+joseph.norton=gmail@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of Bryan Peterson via Talk Sent: Wednesday, March 9, 2016 6:13 PM To: Window-Eyes Discussion List <talk@lists.window-eyes.com> Subject: Problem after installing WE 9.4 evaluation. For starters it kept saying evaluation expired and it also ran incredibly slow, so I uninstalled it. Here’s where the issues began. I had to use the WE emergency removal utility since Window-Eyes was unlisted in the programs and features list in Windows Vista. The issues began when I started reinstalling my older version of WE. The installer said that Window-Eyes couldn’t communicate with the display driver and that I should enable or reinstall it. Unfortunately I can’t seem to find it, so I’m having to resort to using NVDA for the moment. Problem after installing WE 9.4 evaluation.
Hi, I tried installing the 60-day eval of WE9.4 on my machine just to give it a try. I feared that on my nearly seven-year-old machine there might be trouble and I was unfortunately all too right.
