Re: Becky not reading correctly 9.4
Hi Chris, Yes, I did try the same solution that someone else shared yesterday, and what do you know, Maximizing the Window fixed the problem. I tell ya, I know a fair amount about computers and most of the operating systems since DOS to the current, and I still amaze myself at just how Dangerous I can be, to myself and others! I never once considered Maximizing the window because when I wrote an Email from Scratch, it all worked fine, so I thought the edit window was fine. Who would have thought the edit Window would be different from the one used when starting an Email from Scratch? but thanks for the help Chris, and Thanks to who ever shared the same suggestion a day or so ago. the Amazing Grumpy Dave -- Dave___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. make sure your reply is maximized? is all I can think of. It is a separate window from your main becky window as you know so maybe it isn't. If I write an Email from scratch, like this one that I am writing now, I can read everything I write. I can go back and re read my email, make corrections etc. However, if I am Replying to someone elses email, then I can not go back and read anything I have written. I have the settings in Becky as what is advised by the Knowledge base article speaking of the few settings needed to make Becky speak better. but, why I can read what I write from scratch and not when I reply, I am guessing has something to do with the type of text that was used in the Email I am attempting to write my reply. HTML instead of Plain Text? This is a Guess on my part, so I might be completely wrong with my guess. Anyone have a fix for the situation I find myself? Re: Becky not reading correctly 9.4
Here's the two things to change in Becky, if you haven't don so. Becky works very well but you need to change two settings. In the Tools, General setup dialog on the Message View tab, uncheck the "Control four-way button with arrow keys" check box and the cursor will work when you are reading messages. In the Editor tab in the same dialog, uncheck the Display line pointer option which, if checked, can cover up the first character. www.harmonicaworkshops.com www.woodeneyemusic.com On Tue, 19 Apr 2016 07:14:56 -0700 Dave via Talkwrote: > Hello, > > I was installing and setting up Becky, the Email program, and everything > is working, but one thing. > > If I write an Email from scratch, like this one that I am writing now, I > can read everything I write. Re: Becky not reading correctly 9.4
Hi. I use Becky and don't have that problem. I can read this reply. You might try arrowing to the message window, hit insert R, and arrow to the edit line and check it. That's supposed to take care of some problems. I'm fairly computer dumb, so don't know why. Hope this helps. www.harmonicaworkshops.com www.woodeneyemusic.com On Tue, 19 Apr 2016 07:14:56 -0700 Dave via Talkwrote: > Hello, > > I was installing and setting up Becky, the Email program, and everything > is working, but one thing. > > If I write an Email from scratch, like this one that I am writing now, I > can read everything I write.
