RE: Firefox, Flash, and WE
In fact, John's right. I didn't uninstall Flash but simply disabled it. I get a message that I don't' have Flash support. Don, if you're still watching this thread, the web page John mentioned reports: Adobe Flash is required to listen to this station, but you don't appear to have it installed. . Click here to install Adobe Flash So, it would appear that my success with other pages since disabling the flash shockwave plugin is simply because Flash content isn't being displayed at all. Is there something that needs to be done to enable Firefox native Flash support? From what I'm reading with a quick Google search, Flash player support native to Firefox still doesn't exist, though there are several references to the Shumway extension. Granted, the results from Google could be outdated. So, I'm not doubting Don's advice with this statement; jus trying to figure out what both John and I seem to be missing. RE: Firefox, Flash, and WE
Thanks very much, Don. Easy fix, and working way better. One follow-up question: I noticed that, by default, the option in Firefox Enhanced to include Flash content in browse mode was turned off. I know, in the past, including this content in browse mode used to cause problems. Is there any reason I should leave that turned off now? Have those problems been addressed (or just gone away with Firefox's built-in Flash support)? Seems like turning it on would give me a richer experience in browse mode if it doesn't break things.
