Re: I new in window-eyes

2016-06-02 Thread brailleinput via Talk
Hi Liel,

typing braille on a braille keyboard is not supported for all braille display
models by default as far as I know.
I wrote an app (plugin) that adds this feature for several braille display
models.
The app supports typng in hebrew as well.
However, I think it will not work with VarioUltra unless I change the app code
to add support for VarioUltra.
If you want, you can contact me via email to discuss this option at
braillein...@gmail.com

You can also read about the app in
https://www.gwmicro.com/App_Central/Apps/App_Details/?scriptid=1404

I think that typing in braille keyboard works fine.
But I must say that WindowEyes has issues with braille presentation in general.
Sometimes the braille presentation is stuck or not updated as expected.
So, you should know that WindowEyes implementation of braille display is far
from perfect before you make your choice.

HTH

This might mean that you can enter Hebrew in braille without any real effort.
Don't know if Window-eyes itself supports Hebrew, whether it relies on
Microsoft or in general - how multilingual versions work. Could be exciting
though!

Vaughan.

Hello. At the moment, Window-Eyes is sort of behind on braille support. What I
mean is that it lacks grade 2 contracted braille input but I think the braille
support is being worked on as we speak and I think that grade 2 input in
contracted braille in Window-Eyes is coming soon. I use Window-Eyes with speech
and don't use the braille features as I have a focus 40 braille display.
