Re: all my installed w e apps are gone
In your default folder where all your apps and setfiles are, you should find 2 files: wineyes.ini and wineyes.ini.bak These files store some other information first, but at the end of your file, you should find a numbered list of all of your installed apps. These numbers may not be in order, but if the wineyes.ini.back has more of your apps, rename wineyes.ini to wineyes.ini.old and then rename wineyes.ini.bak to wineyes.ini Then close window-eyes, and restart the program. hth, Jeff weiss -Original Message- From: Neville via Talk Sent: Tuesday, June 06, 2017 6:32 PM To: Jeff Weiss via Talk Subject: Re: all my installed w e apps are gone Hi, Does anyone know if all the WE apps are stored in the Default folder? And if all else fails the original WEPM package files for all apps shipped with Window-Eyes are in either the C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (X86)\GW Micro\Window-Eyes folder. Re: all my installed w e apps are gone
Hi Neville, I went into the control panel and under file, explore profile, I found all (or at least a lot of stuff) that I would consider to be information included with installed apps. If you need it, I can find the exact location of the file folder, but I believe it is in a subfolder of the %appdata% folder. Here is the location from my Win7 drive: C:\Users\Carol\AppData\Roaming\GW Micro\Window-Eyes\users\default This might be able to help you find it if you have Win10.
