Meanwhile, if you hit h 3 times with browse mode on, you'll get to the results. That works for me anyway. -- RegOn Thu, 17 Mar 2016 15:00:12 -0500 mcleod stinnett via Talk wrote: > if i am on a web site, let's say, google search and i search for something > and i want to go to the results, so i type in results after pressing the find > command, if browse mode is on, w/e goes to the word results. however, > sometimes, browse mode turns off even though i don't have it set to > automatically interact with forms. if this happens and i invoke the find > feature, w/e will lock up and often times i can't get it back without a > restart. using win 7 64 bit home and ie-11thanks > ___ > Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author > and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. > > For membership options, visit > http://lists.window-eyes.com/options.cgi/talk-window-eyes.com/regwebb%40btinternet.com. > For subscription options, visit > http://lists.window-eyes.com/listinfo.cgi/talk-window-eyes.com > List archives can be found at > http://lists.window-eyes.com/private.cgi/talk-window-eyes.com ___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. Re: ctrl shft f problem still not fixed
I really like Reg's suggestion of using heading navigation to quickly navigate to the first Google search result. To boost efficiency even further, try pressing 3 followed by h to jump straight to the first result with only two key presses. The reason this works is because Google marks up each result as a level three heading. These navigation techniques are based on using your knowledge of the semantic HTML markup on the page and will work very well on web pages that are thoughtfully designed. While not all web developers follow the best practice of using semantic markup, many do and more will as accessibility and universal design become more established in the developer community.
