Yes, ctrl, C will just copy, ctrl X will copy to clipboard and delete the content from it's orginal location, then you can past with ctrl V as usual. -Original Message- From: Amanda Lee via Talk Sent: Tuesday, May 30, 2017 11:10 AM To: 'Russ Kiehne' ; 'Window-Eyes Discussion List' Subject: RE: how do you move a file with w/e CTRL-X will delete that content. Re: how do you move a file with w/e
It's Control+x to cut to clipboard. The file won't move until you paste it. If you don't want deleted files in the recycle bin, hit shift+delete and they're permanently gone. -- Reg On Mon, 29 May 2017 10:44:28 -0500 Tom Fairhurst via Talk wrote: > I have never actualy tried to move a file. Re: how do you move a file with w/e
This is a Windows command, so instructions will work with any screen reader: place your cursor on the file you want to move anc press control plus x to cut the file from its current list move to the place you wan the file and press control plus v to paste it. If you are not sure, you can always use control-c to copy the file instread of control-x and once the file is verified that you have moved it, go back to the original folder and delete the original. There is no need to have two copies on your drive. On 5/29/2017 7:25 AM, mcleod stinnett via Talk wrote: I haven't moved a file since I used outspoken screen reader.
