I see this being used already but cant find the source, so I do it

It would be quicker still if we'd get "editor support". If a user would
use the BING imagery within JOSM, for example, it would process the
information and update the BING coverage analyser.

I know people are using scripts and some applications to check out for 
coverage.


I found one application that follows border of high resolution imagery, 
but it's not good for small areas.


I want to do a grid automation for a small area, like the ones at 
http://ant.dev.openstreetmap.org/bingimageanalyzer/


Does anyone know how to do that?

yes sure, on your own map you can do all sorts of things, including
different font sizes / styles, parenthesis or multiple lines to
distinguish alternative languages.

I had a problem accessing one of my Etrex devices. It transpired it didn’t
like the cable I was using though the same cable worked fine with another
unit. I changed the cable and all was well again.

...which does not interfere with the problem of delimiter chars being 
used in Jochens demo, your own map that uses the languages may use 
arbitrary delimiters, and in the existing demo there's no shortened name 
to be used - as name should contain the full, unshortened name.

I have fixed this now. Also I moved the last of the labels that were in the
background layer into the overlay.

Neuilly sur Seine -> Neuilly s/ Seine

A long "em dash" (U+2014) may be used not to mix with the basic short one.
Have a look at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dash

We add a recent (long) talk about all dash types on talk-fr ;)
