That means that the tag cycleway=lane needs to be removed and the tag
bus=yes added
I would still at least tell the original mapper why you changed it.

Thanks Janko for the suggestion.

And the answer is, add bridge=yes on the bridge if you haven't, and layer=1.

And this what I always work with.

I suggest help.osm.org for questions like this.

And the answer is, add bridge=yes on the bridge if you haven't, and layer=1.

[OSM-talk] Right Way to Map Bridge over Waterways

2015-04-18 Thread Enock Seth Nyamador
Hi,

Can someone please help me with the right way to map bridges over waterways.
What I know and have been doing all this while is first map the waterway
and draw bridge over it.

But as of JOSM 8159 Validation Result tells me: "Crossing waterway/highway".
What's the problem here? I guess am missing something.

Best,

- Enock

He may know the local situation.

I haven't. I have cycled this street myself last year and in my
recollection there is no lane and cycling is allowed. But the question
for me at this moment is not "is this situation mapped correctly" but
"what does this combination of tags mean for bicycles".

Ok, I've been there and surveyed and it is clear. It is a pedestrian
area with a subsign "bicycles and buses allowed".

Maarten
