Re: [OSM-talk] OpenStreetMap Awards - The Voting Has Started

2016-09-06 Thread Emir Hartato
Hi Ilya,

Thank you for organising the OSM Awards.
Anyway, I have a small technical problem. It seems nothing happened when I
click on 'Submit my votes' button.
I don't know whether my votes are submitted or not. I'm using Safari
Version 9.1.3 (11601.7.8).

Cheers,
Emir

Re: [OSM-talk] JOSM Imagery Contrast

2014-10-18 Thread Emir Hartato
Hi everyone,

There was a java binary called Enhance Imagery:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/JOSM/Plugin/Enhance_Imagery
But unfortunately, I think the developer drop the binary. I don't know
where I can download it. It's interesting though.

Or maybe anyone else here know the guy who made the binary?

 Enock,

Thanks for the quick and informative reply. I din't know about that
feature. However, it isn't exactly what I was looking for. Adjusting the
opacity of a layer allows me to see the layer underneath it. What I want
to do is lighten up a single imagery layer so I can more easily see detain
in darker parts of the image. In other words, adjust the contrast and/or
brightness like it is possible to do in Photoshop or GIMP.

 Hi Mike,

Try using the adjust opacity button in Layers toolbar,

See attached image. Hope this helps.

Is there anyway to adjust the contrast of Bing imagery when viewed in
JOSM? I am mapping an area that has a lot of shadows and lightening up the
 image would help.

Re: [OSM-talk] QuickOSM, a QGIS plugin to query Overpass

2014-10-15 Thread Emir Hartato
Hi Etienne,

I've been playing around with the plugin and it looks great!
One question, how often the data is getting updated from OSM server?
Do you have a github page where I can submit issues and suggestion?

Many thanks

 Hi,

A new QGIS plugin exists so as to run an overpass query.

This plugin is QuickOSM which you can find in the QGIS's repository :
 - using keys/values with autocompletion
 - use an extent of the map canvas or an nominatim area
 - use some actions so as to edit in JOSM or open external links like
 wikipedia
 - save your query
 - change the default geographic extent of a saved query
 - apply some symbology if possible
 - use QuickOSM in complexe models of QGIS Processing : fetching some datas
 then reprojecte them for instance
-open a osm file by specifying the OGR file 'osmconf'

 There is a little video : https://vimeo.com/108737868

I've developped this project during my internship at 3Liz :
