Hi, just a note: I triggered a map rendering for Saint-Marc on MapOSMatic. So there's a map in svg, png and pdf format at: http://www.maposmatic.org/jobs/39893 Street index is additionally available as csv. The database MapOSMatic uses is probably about 2 weeks behind. From the Garmin site (http://connect.garmin.com/terms) Garmin may modify these Terms of Use at any time by updating this posting. this is most likely not what you want for volunteers or data collected by publicly funded organizations. I meant to contribute to Robert's submission for an OSM logo. Also it seemed polite because I picked up the items from the user Kscahefer. I'll happily move it elsewhere. If need arises I also have a very capable /dev/null here. Seems to take data at a rate of more than 1 GB/sec and is not full yet. Kidding aside I like the idea of a wiki because (opposed to mail or forums) it tends to focus discussion because technically there is a single document being worked on. [Talk-ht] CIA haiti-tlm-50, severely degraded resolution?
Hi, seems like the resolution of CIA haiti-tlm-50, when accessed via: http://hypercube.telascience.org/cgi-bin/mapserv?map=/home/ortelius/haiti/haiti.maprequest=GetMapservice=wmsversion=1.1.1layers=haiti-tlm-50format=image/pngsrs=epsg:4326exceptions=application/vnd.ogc.se_inimage; within josm has considerably degraded. Previously it was possible to f.e. read village names (admittedly with some problems (f.e. accents)). As of now the names are completely unreadable and other detail vanished too. Dieser Overhead kann bei kleinen Dateien die eigentliche Transferzeit für den Dateiinhalt um ein mehrfaches übersteigen Sorry, hatte ich überlesen, dass dies wohl der Flaschenhals ist. Die Algorithmen und Dateigrößen sind unterschiedlich, aber das Prinzip ist das Gleiche. Mit tar (bzw. tar.gz) bleiben die Dateiattribute (User, Gruppenname, Permissions) besser erhalten:) Ausserdem hat das zip Format im Laufe der Zeit einige Erweiterungen erfahren, die nicht auf allen Plattformen zur Verfügung stehen.
