[OSM-talk] changing tables for adults
Dear OSM community, I suggest to use this new tag to describe changing places which are specifically made to be suitable for adults: *changing_table:suitableforadults=yes/no* This is the result from a discussion we had in the German forum: https://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?pid=775124#p775124 https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:changing_table For people who need these facilities it increase their mobility a lot (and also good to know for their assistants). Examples of providers of such facilities: * https://www.toiletten-fuer-alle.de/ has 80 facilities installed in Germany * http://www.changing-places.org/ has 1.436 facilities installed in the UK (if I see this correctly on their website) Here is an example photo: http://www.changing-places.org/Portals/0/images/content_images/News/Hartlepool%20Changing%20Places.JPG Feedback is welcome! With that, I plan to update the wiki in English and German. [OSM-talk] Seek support for worldwide mapathon on Dec 3rd for places accessibility
Dear fellow OSM members, I'm the cofounder of http://wheelmap.org and want to ask for your advice and support for a mapathon we are planning. The worldwide mapathon #MapMyDay will take place on December 3 and the goal is to mark as many wheelchair accessible places as possible. The World Health Organization (WHO) and other UN agencies, are cooperating with Sozialhelden, the makers of Wheelmap and calling upon people around the world to mark the accessibility of places they come to during the day. More at http://mapmyday.org Any feedback and advice is appreciated, we want to involve a lot of people in December. Also, it would be great if you help spread the word.
