I'm sure it's not a discussion for the dev-list but shortly, the place
node(s) and the administrative boundary are two different things. You can
have more than one place node inside a boundary polygon. In my country, we
use the role admin_centre in the boundary relation to indicate which place
node is the administrative centre. What you mention is more a rendering
issue.

Cool. Speaking of things that bug us, I hate the way that when you
search for a town/suburb, you almost always get hits for both the
town, and all its boundaries. I don't know if this is a Nominatim
issue or what (I have no idea how Nominatim works), but if it could be
solved/reduced, I'd be very happy.

Hi all,

The lack of auto-complete or search suggestions like you see in for

Google Closure JS framework. There's a lot of things it won't do yet,
but it's a decent first step.

Why do you choose Google's Closure JS? Is it specially suited?

Wyo,

No specific reason. It looked like the quickest route to demonstrable results
for someone not at all familiar with modern web technologies such as myself.
And it did - I did this in a few hours, including the PHP script that calls
Nominatim and parses the result.
