[OSM-talk] Boundaries in Haiti
Hi, Based on the data here : https://www.geoint-online.net/community/haitiearthquake/default.aspx of the US Census Bureau, I extracted the city and town borders for Haiti. The tags I used are : is_in=name of the district name=* boundary=administrative admin_level=8 source=US Census Bureau population=* id_commune=ID given in the source file The file is here : http://fredericbonifas.free.fr/haiti_boundaries.osm Does it seem ok to you before uploading ? The data should be easily removable as long as the source tag is unique and is not deleted. I would suggest to use source=US Census Bureau, boundary import, 16/01/2010 Please also add information about the import to the Haiti wiki page. Looks good enough. One could of course reuse the ways with relations and stuff but it is a good start. Is there an easy to remove these boundaries if we get better ones later ?
