Every edit of OSM Fixer was announced on the Dev list. What fixer did
was address the database corruption. The *only* thing that happened was:

request way with all nodes
add tags
commit it back


Now you wonder how is it possible that data is deleted. Basically
because the nodes didn't exist in the database anymore.

[OSM-talk] OSM Fixer - What the.... ?

Just in the middle of an editing session of the Test Way (old railway north of 
Southampton now bike/horse/foot trail). Noticed something called OSM Fixer 
appears to have deleted loads of nodes and turned a curving track into a 
straight line. What the hell is this??? Luckily I've got a new track for it...
