Re: [OSM-talk] SOTM accommodation options?

2013-05-31 Thread Rob Nickerson
Hi All,

Apologies for the delay in replying - I wanted to chase up the facts before
getting back to you.

The Classic, Standard and Superior options are all for the Aston
Conferences hotel. Details about the rooms can be found at
http://www.conferenceaston.co.uk/Content.aspx?PageId=1705

As for the Student Residence option, this is something separate. I'm trying
to find some details but from what I know already, Aston University has
just built a brand new student halls of residence, and as is quite common
in the UK, the rooms are let to conference visitors during the summer
months. I don't want to use the word dorm because it has different
meanings in the UK and the US. I anticipate the rooms are single and en
suite (shared rooms is very uncommon in UK Universities).

So to confirm, the brand new Student Residence block has a separate sign up
process. I will reply with details as soon as I get them.

Apologies for the delay,
Rob

[OSM-talk] SOTM accommodation options?

2013-05-30 Thread Jochen Topf
Hi!

There is a choice between three different accommodation options for SOTM, but I
couldn't find any information what the differences between those options are
(except the price and names that don't tell me anything). Can somebody in the
know tell us what we actually get for those prices?

Try http://www.conferenceaston.co.uk/Content.aspx?PageID=1705 which has
links to descriptions of the three room types.

I understand there is also a student dorm nearby, but I wasn't able to
find its official website. May you point it out?

Thank you.

The details are all in the confirmation screen when you book, but as
best I could tell the classic rooms detailed on that page are the dorm
rooms referred to.
