[OSM-talk] Sports club
I was trying to map a plaza today and I wanted to enter in a new node for a Sport club (workout facility with weights, fitness classes, tennis courts, etc...) I looked around the local area for other such facilities and the only one I could find had been tagged with sports=athletics. Is that the proper tagging for these private workout clubs? I saw a proposal for amenity=gym, but it had no responses. Does that mean it was rejected or just never considered. Thanks, J.M. we - osm community in slovakia - had a small discussion on our list regarding this topic recently and agreed on using amenity=gym. though it's not being rendered on osm.org, you can see it at freemap.sk. There is actually a proposal for project of the week for gyms.
