Heh, you can't please all the people all the time - the easier-to-click ways/nodes were a feature request from a user too. I guess it depends whether you use Yahoo or not. I've now added a preference so that you can turn them off. It's in the usual place in the options dialogue (the 'tick' at the bottom).
