I think it may be right to just add a separate node tagged for each 
sport.  Fans of the sport will know when their sport takes place.  The 
stadium is drawn and tagged simply as a stadium, each sport or other use 
(such as concerts) could then get a logo rendered to show the use.

There is one here that switches from Football to Football.  ;)

i'm mapping a stadium, that is multi-use - depending on the time of
year, it gets used for cricket or rugby. is there any way to tag this
once, and have the rendering change at the appropriate time of year,
from one to the other?

will using the date_on and date_off tags work in this way, or are they
only for setting a one off, absolute event date?
