Maybe the Catalonia, it's depends on the size. There is a Catalonia extract available some where ? In all case I need to talk about that with Jocelyn in charge of Osmose admin servers. Split is probably the better approach for Spain, because is big and language specific analysis maybe setup. For large country (large as pbf size) we encourage the local community to run it own osmose backend server. We can provide help for that. We can also add a provided server into our pool. Re: [OSM-talk] Osmose QA tool news
Thank you for all the work behind osmose ! It's a great tool, not known enough due mainly to the limited coverage. I hope more backends will be running to have more dark blue areas on the following map: http://beta.osmose.openstreetmap.fr/fr/map/#zoom=3lat=38.4lon=9.2layer=MapQuest%20Openoverlays=FTFF A few things not mentioned by Frédéric: - osmose is now available in 7 languages - it can interact a lot with JOSM remote control - it creates graphs of errors and also provides error heatmaps - it provides an API to access errors, report where they are fixed or false positives On this last point, the API could be used as a source for tools like ReMAPTCHA, or MapRoulette. -- Christian Quest - OpenStreetMap France Conférence State Of The Map France du 4 au 6 avril à Parishttp://openstreetmap.fr/sotmfr ___ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk
Re: [OSM-talk] Osmose QA tool news
Thank you Frédéric for your these great news and thanks for your work. 2014-03-30 11:58 GMT+02:00 Frédéric Rodrigo fred.rodr...@gmail.com: Many countries were added, on servers in France, Italy or Iceland: - Italy [...] We are still looking at new servers to cover new areas. If you have a server to provide, note that we don't need any root or user access, only that you setup an osmose backend as explained in the README found on git repository. Then, we can add the countries you want on Osmose, and we will be able to run them. For reference, a country like Norway - a 112 MB pbf file -, takes ~2 hours, and smaller countries can take less than 10 minutes. As another reference, Italy analysis are done on a regional basis and they are performed on a different server (in Italy) - an Intel Xeon server (E5649 @ 2.53GHz). The complete run for all the regions takes ~13.5 hours. On this last point, the API could be used as a source for tools like ReMAPTCHA, or MapRoulette. +1 Cristian ___ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk
