[talk-au] linux.conf.au 2011

[talk-au] Copyright ruling on compiled lists
While this may not change to much in AU for OSM, it's still an interesting ruling - particuarly the possible future review of the Telstra v Desktop Marketing decision. IceTV won their appeal against Channel 9 over the reuse of 9's TV guide. http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/business/story/0,28124,25389042-17044,00.html Matt ___ Talk-au mailing list Talk-au@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au
Re: [talk-au] Routable OSM Garmin maps
That was me I think - can't write a batch scrip[t to save my life (was uploading non-existent files) There should be some better files up there - I was able to get them going last night OK, with some routing seemingly working (I've never actually had routable maps on the Garmin previously, so I've no idea what I'm actually doing when it comes to routing) I'm going to drop the routing stuff into the nightly build and upload, so we'll see how it all pans out... Matt On Thu Dec 11 23:49 , "Nick Hocking"sent: "Let me know how it turns out - I'm about to give them a go on the 60CSx." Just tested them on the nuvi - unfortunately no change - still unroutable. Re: [talk-au] What gives with roundabouts?
I noticed that I think - a whole lot of small courts suddenly inherited a turning circle at the end of them (whether that is what I should have done in the first place I don't know...) It wasn't me you're talking about, was it? Matt On Wed Dec 10 13:36 , Darrin Smith <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> sent: I can see why people want to be lazy and use mini_roundabout for cases where they can't be bothered putting in a smallish roundabout, but why have I found 2 cases of 2 different mappers (both significant contributors) REMOVING an existing roundabout in preference of a mini roundabout? If the first mapper was prepared to go to the effort of drawing the roundabout why remove it? (Amusingly one of these mappers is one who in other circumstances gratuitously converts any one-way cul-de-sac into a roundabout despite the non-existance of roundabout rules at these locations) -- Darrin Smith [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ Talk-au mailing list Talk-au@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au
