I'm going through the default osm-template.xml and noticed some interesting things with respect to towns/cities.
They have a number of things that will render identically in the default style sheet but might be used to more accurately tag places. They have the following things: [place] = 'city' or [place]='metropolis' and [place] = 'town' or [place]='large_town' or [place]='small_town' and [place] = 'village' or [place]='large_village' Looks like the path=* people have been busy little bees too: ([highway] = 'bridleway' or ([highway] = 'path' and [horse] = 'designated')) ([highway] = 'footway' or ([highway] = 'path' and [foot] = 'designated')) [highway] = 'cycleway' or ([highway] = 'path' and [bicycle] = 'designated') Also platforms might render by default now, not sure if they trapped all cases. _______________________________________________ Talk-au mailing list Talk-au@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au
