[OSM-talk-be] OpenCaveMap Project

2015-05-07 Thread Jean-Louis Stanus

Hello guys,

I contact you about the project i speak beafore.This project aims to
develop an open and structured platform to share as much information as
possible (in scientific character, topographical, historical, safety)
about underground spaces whether built by man or eroded by nature. The
license and the data format should be similar to the Open Street Map
project itself based on the Wikipedia initiative. This is to ensure
compatibility for the integration of these data without any limits. I
give more informations at http://www.opencavemap.org/

Actually, i m working on 2 prototypes for cavemapping: SLAM (with lidar)
https://openslam.org/ based technology and an android apps +
traditionnal laser meter.

If you want more informations , suggestions or join the project, contact me.

[OSM-talk-be] Course about OSM in ULg-Arlon

2013-12-03 Thread Jean-Louis Stanus
Bonjour Julien,

Cordialement,

Jean-Louis Stanus

[OSM-talk-be] [Sentier disparu par cause de vegetation]

2013-09-19 Thread Jean-Louis Stanus
[EN]
Hello everyone,

How to map paths that have disappeared during my last visit because of the
vegetation (shrubs and brambles)? Access to the path became impracticable
without mulcher.
At this point, I mapping the trails like this:
highway = path
access = no
trail_visibility = no

What do you think?

thank you

[FR]

highway=path
access=no
trail_visibility=no

Qu'en pensez-vous?

Cordialement,

Jean-Louis Stanus

Hello all,

about the question: "what to do in this asbl" and "what to do with the

i totally agree with you Julien. It was my vision too.

Personnaly, I would like to insist on the use of data in universities
and schools. Present how to import these data into QGIS and other GIS.
Because availability of Datas was a big gap in my education.

For me, we should have only two category of members :
> - membres adh?rents : all contributors who may justify to be registered
> on OSM since two months ;
> - membres effectifs : members accepted by the board (this is the case in
> the french association) ;

I agree

I m not really agree with you if it's money from Region Wallonne, ok we
should create the statut in french but we should create the asbl in Bxl
because it more central and work with everybody : Vlaamse, Waalse en Duitse
to create one vision for all OSM Belgium (to communicate the same subjects
and not recreate the wheel:licence, etc,...) and create sub divisions if
necessary because we have to work with region wallonne and Vlaamse Gewenst.

I m ready to be involved. i have free time for this asbl.
