Reverting in Potlatch isn't that good. When I tried, I could only
slowly moved each way and had to reconnect ways. Reverting just points
could have worked but seems tedious. Good thing the revert script is
there.

Hi,

I tried the revert script. The problematic changeset has been reverted.
Please check the area for potential problems.
There were not error messages from the script but we never know.

Most of the reverted changes were points being moved.
There were 27 points and 3 ways created which have now been deleted by
the revert.

[OSM-talk-be] Chaos in regio Peer-Bree

2009-10-30 Thread Pierre Parmentier
Hello,

I am the responsible person for the 'Chaos in regio Peer-Bree' and very
sorry for that.

I have received a message from Lewosh and asked him to help and return to
the previous situation.

I am not aware of the exact cause of the disturbance. I was working with
JOSM.

Ah, your remark 'huge circle' makes me realize what is going on: If
one has a closed loop, and uses the 'straighten' tool in potlatch, the
way is changed into a circle. Apparently this has been done with road
29095033 (edge of high-resolution Yahoo imaging area) to cause these
problems. Unfortunately, it seems that simply reverting this one road
in Potlatch does not solve the problems of the other roads.

It seems some points are now forming a huge circle.
The last changeset

foxandpotatoes could be the problem.

One option is to run a revert script.

Reverting through Potlatch is possible but would be a lot of work for this fix.

gedaan, of waarom.

[OSM-talk-be] Chaos in regio Peer-Bree

2009-10-30 Thread Leon Vrancken
Goedemorgen,

Bij een kleine inspectie deze morgen bemerk ik deze chaos in de regio
Peer-Bree
(http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=51.1200714111328&lon=5.54946899414062&zoom=13).
Het lijkt erop dat de Weg op Bree naar onder toe verschoven werd
alhoewel ik daar niets van terug vind in de historiek.

Kan iemand achterhalen wat er hier precies gebeurd is?

Groet,

Leon Vrancken
