I was doing that when I noticed they're doing it in France too. Any node is OK unless it's common to 2 houses, of course. The best is to add a node in the middle of the front wall. In your case, several even spaced and in the street order. Yes, ground=0, just as year 0 so that -1 is not a multiple of 4. I learned that in the States when I burst in a hurry into a ladies' room. Right number, just next to the hotel lift, but wrong floor. André. ___ Talk-be mailing list Talk-be@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-be
Re: [OSM-talk-be] House number problem
Up until now I've only seen this weird style of house numbering in The Netherlands. I'm not sure how they solve it over there. The wiki at lesat mentions 1;2 There seem to be several proposal around, and I'm not sure what the best way is. In any case, level/floor 0 is ground floor. [OSM-talk-be] House number problem
This evening I stumbled upon some buildings in Willebroek, where the housenumbers on the ground floor are different from the ones on the first floor. In general, we put the number on the complete building, but that's impossible in this case. So I will add different nodes which will also get a addr:floor. I assume this starts with 0 for the ground floor. Correct ? regards m ___ Talk-be mailing list Talk-be@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-be
