Vale qualquer tipo de post para começar. Até mesmo coisas que são colocadas
aqui na lista.
Quando vc postar, use bastante as palavras "Mapas Livres", "gps Garmin",
isto é, as palavras que vc acha que as pessoas digitarão numa pesquisa no
Google. Seja no corpo do post ou nos títulos.
Pode instalar esse plugin
http://www.arnebrachhold.de/projects/wordpress-plugins/google-xml-sitemaps-generator/que
é um plugin para SEO. Se vc postar diariamente, configure-o para os
robots do google pegar o artigo xml gerado, diariamente. Como  o assunto OSM
não é uma área muito comentada (concorrida) aqui no Brasil, logo logo teu
site estará no topo.

Qualquer dúvida tamos ae.

Isto é verdade. Só o argumento de que se a Garmin deixar de existir, todo o
trabalho pode ser perdido, é um grande motivo de questionamento.

Além do mais, todos aqueles que participam daquela listas são pessoas que
tem GPS e estão sempre viajando. Este é o verdadeiro motivo deles estarem
contribuindo lá.

Olá,

Eu não tenho nenhuma experiência em wordpress, mas instalei um no
mapaslivres.org/blog. Ainda não tem nada lá, mas pretendo colocar artigos e
tutoriais aí. Pelo que você me disse, deve melhorar a posição do Mapas
Livres no buscador.

Eu não vejo como utilizar os dados do Tracksource no OpenStreetMap, mas
seguramente as pessoas que colaboram por lá se sentiriam muito mais
motivadas a colaborar aqui se conhecerem o OSM.

É só uma questão de divulgação. Por isso, é bom fazer circular as novidades
do Mapas Livres por toda parte.

Pergunto porque nos sites feitos com sistemas CMS (wordpress, joomla, drupal
etc), existem plugins que ajudam e muito no SEO. Esse trabalho depende de
vários fatores, principalmente a inclusão de conteúdo constante, seja
comentários, artigos etc. Quanto mais participação, links externos etc,
melhor a posição nos buscadores.

Vamos tomar cuidado com os símbolos especiais na tradução, tava dando
defeito por causa de um "{" que na tradução estava como "(".

Tou criando a rota de ônibus São Paulo-Rio de Janeiro -
http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/relation/574835 - mas esqueci de
adicionar como membro o nó da rodoviária tietê, e agora não consigo botá-lo
como primeiro na relação. Potlatch e Merkaartor não fazem, o JOSM diz que
faz mas crasha. Alguma ideia?

Acho que isso é algo que o editor deveria ter a inteligência de notar e
inverter a tag. Tipo um "don't tag for the editor" ao invés de "renderer" :D
