Re: [Talk-ca] City of Waterloo Open Data codefest Saturday
I only found their reference to the code fest in March[1], do they have their license published for review? I know that I keep beating this drum, but I really wish that governments would stop trying to write their own open data licenses (even by modifying relatively benign licenses) and JUST USE A VETTED LICENSE WRITTEN AND MAINTAINED BY PROFESSIONALS[2]. The only thing that governments do, by writing their own licenses, is punish those who care enough about open data licenses to actually read them and attempt to use them responsibly.
English follow. -- Has Harald said, we are looking for mappers around Chateauguay, Valleyfield and Vaudreuil to revise the highway 30. It will be important though to coordinate on this discussion list. For a certain period of time we should show both numbers. For exemple 30;540 for the portion that is renamed 30. We will have also to show the portion of the highway where we have to pay a passage. The following link describes modifications around Valleyfield and Saint-Thimotée. http://www.autoroute30.qc.ca/fr/trace-ouest.asp This MTQ link below shows the map of the new A30 section including the new numbers. http://www.autoroute30.qc.ca/fr/Documents/A30_Tt_A0_sans_cadastre_060705.pdf I will prepare a revision file with the new numbers and construction tag removed. There is surely some mapping to revise where the motorway integrates with previous roads. The Bing Imagery is not recent enough to give a portrait of today situation. Re: [Talk-ca] Montreal: Autoroute 30 opening soon
Harald The ministry of transport indicate that it is all the west section from Vaudreuil-Dorion to Chateauguay (35km) that will open in december. Exact day is not given. see http://www.mtq.gouv.qc.ca/portal/page/portal/grands_projets/trouver_grand_projet/parachevement_a30 I propose that first use the actual trace and simply modify the tag the day of opening. When somebody of the area will have a new trace, he should be able to modify if necessary. There will be new exit numbers at the opening for 140 km. I will contact the MTQ for info. The A540 will be part of 30 with new numbers. >From today's Gazette: http://offislandgazette.com/news/story/2012/11/29/highway-30-will-open-dec-15/ We already have the route as highway=construction ( http://osm.org/go/cIo9hLV-- ) but maybe someone local with a car get a GPS track soon after the opening and change the tags. I'm not quite sure which section of the highway is going to open. Harald. -- Please use encrypted communication whenever possible!
