[Talk-ca] Updating the Wiki Page for Ottawa and Ontario
Hi Folks, I've started to clean up the Ottawa wiki page [1]. I'd really like to use this space for the local community to learn, share and work together to improve our map. The page hasn't been touched since late 2013 (before I found it). My initial approach is one of keeping the older information; when I have more time or others want to jump in and review the older material we can figure out how best to work/reorganize it. For the moment I've been adding links and information that has come up at the monthly Ottawa meetups. I've also pointed the domain www.osmottawa.ca to point to the Ottawa wiki page. Was pointing the address to the GitHub hosted page we had set up initially to make it easier for folks to find us. If nothing else at this point, the shorter domain is so much easier to remember:) Longer term, I would love to figure out how we in Ontario could make better use of the Ontario wiki page [2]. These town/city focused sub pages are great and I'd love to really make use of them to improve our map! [Talk-ca] Pointe Ile de Montréal est
Bonjour, Suite aux récents échanges concernant les Coastlines j’ai laissé passé un peu de temps et ai réalisé que presque tous les problèmes relevés semblent se corriger. Merci à ceux qui y ont travaillé. Il me reste une interrogation concernant la pointe de l’Ile de Montréal là où la rivière des Mille-Iles, la rivière des Prairies et le fleuve se rejoignent. Quand on regarde les cartes en ligne tout semble OK. Par contre en générant une carte pour GPS Garmin il y a un “flooding” de la pointe est de l’ile. Mon logiciel (mkgmap) semble fermer un polygone qui n’existe pas entre le noeud 1421619914 (à la jonction de 2 polygones de type Riverbank) et le noeud 924212386 qui termine le chemin 924212386. Je ne demande pas à régler le problème de ma carte hors-ligne mais à savoir s’il n’y aurait pas un polygone non fermé dans le coin. Comme je le disais précédemment je préfère référer ce genre de cas à des gens compétents plutôt que de risquer d’empirer les choses. Si on ne voit rien à corriger ici je vais chercher du côté de mon logiciel. Pour le moment c’est le seul endroit où je constate un tel “flooding” mais il faut avouer que cette zone de la carte est rendu très compliquée.
