Hi!
I asked about the same thing a few days ago [1]. In the wiki,
pedestrian [2] is mainly for regular streets where traffic is not
allowed. Most of these streets are commercial streets, but in my
opinion it should not be necessary to have shops to be pedestrian.
Footways is for designated footpaths [3]. I think the two
definitions quite overlap in some cases. My current criteria is:
- pedestrian: normally wide street, normally has a name, main access
to buildings and/or houses and/or commercial places.
- footway: normally narrow paths, normally does not have a name,
normally not a main access: maybe a shortcut.
In your example I would use pedestrian since it is a regular
residential road, has a name, etc. In fact it seems that the same
street allows cars at some points, so it is the pedestrian part of a
regular residential road.
bicycle=yes depends may depend on the country's regulations. If you
know for sure that bicycles
I hope this helps you.
