[Talk-gb-westmidlands] Street tagging Problem

2014-02-18 Thread Brian Prangle
Hi everyone

How would you tag a street that is one way for all traffic in one direction
with a contraflow bus lane going in the other direction? The street is a
normal two lane single carriageway. Came across this in Walsall - Caldmore
Lane as it leads off from Bradford Street

Regards

Brian

Saturday 22nd is Open Data Day around the world.
In Birmingham Open Mercia are running an event to collect and add data to a
community regional datastore.

https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-data-day-open-data-day-in-birmingham-registration-10440330309

We hope some Mappa Mercia people can come. With your help we hope to see
OpenStreetMap used to display open data.

Example data available on the day:
Spending data with cost codes
Birmingham budget
FOI data requests to public authorities

Location data
Buildings owned by BCC
Businesses in Birmingham
School location data
Fast food outlets location
Environment data for waste disposal
Data resources from #floodhack

In other news
WMODF http://wmodf.wordpress.com/ raised the question of the conflicting
licence notices on the BCC open data page. The problem has been fixed and the
licence is now OGL for the Asset Register

Re: [Talk-GB] Crowdsourced boats to map the seas : BBC Article - video

2014-02-18 Thread Dan S
Hi all -

I went and asked them about data licencing. They're not going the
open-data route - essentially personal use only, so they can reserve
the ability to charge for some uses.

For interest, here's the description of the European grant which
helped them develop their crowdsourcing:

(NB it's not just a pure research grant but a commercial development thing.)

Best
Dan
