Re: [OSM-talk-ie] Talk-ie Digest, Vol 71, Issue 3

2015-04-17 Thread Brian Hollinshead
Thanks to Donal the nodes for highway=traffic_signals no longer show on
Overpass page. A useful bit of MapCSS for me to learn.

My Overpasshttp://url.ie/yyqb

Donals version http://url.ie/yyqd

They do however still get exported to Mapbox and perhaps to Leaflet also.
(my laptop is away being fixed under warranty so have not checked leaflet
yet.)

My preference is to learn how to Exclude items like
highway=traffic_signals or traffic-calming=hump or barrier=gate from the
data collected by Overpass.

Can I write a'please do not add ' line to a query?

Thanks

Re: [OSM-talk-ie] splitting ways/joining nodes

2015-04-17 Thread Dave Corley
Hi Caroline,

The hatched lines are where you don't have data downloaded. You can simply
download those areas normally by hitting the download button when you are
over an area of hatched lines.

It's a good idea to do a quick check on the new area to make sure the sheet
is aligned correctly. You can do this handy enough inside josm by toggling
between the imagery and the sheet.

2015-04-17 Thread Caroline Lewis
Hi all,
i read that you can only edit map on the sheet that is downloaded (part that
does not have the hatched lines) so wondered what to do when townland crosses
over on to more than one sheet ?
thanks

[OSM-talk-ie] Map sheets request

2015-04-17 Thread Stephen Roulston
Hi,

Could I ask for the remaining sheets from 26-39, please. I think SE is the only
one up at present.

Also, I rectified 26-41 NW Limavady some time ago. It is very high contrast and
difficult to make out the downland boundaries so I have done very little with
it - do I remember an email from some time ago suggesting that there might be a
better scan available? If so, could you upload that, please?

Many thanks,

Stephen
