Re: [OSM-Talk-ZA] How to display paths on all layers?

2021-05-31 Thread Tony Heher
Paths are appearing in some layers, but not others, so assume that means it
cannot be a caching problem. And they were added 2 weeks ago.

I compared the tags of some existing paths that are visible in all layers
vs what I was using. My tags were *exactly *the same. Must be something
other than tags inhibiting visibility.

Re: [OSM-Talk-ZA] How to display paths on all layers?

2021-05-31 Thread Tony Heher
I have published a number of tracks and they are visible on the Standard
and CylOSM layers, but not on any other layers.

But many other tracks and paths are visible on all layers. What does one
have to do to make them visible? The Cycle Map is the "nicest" from a
hiking point of view as the contours are clearer. The Standard map is not
useful at all as it has no contours.

Not there after 7 days. Does it take longer than that?

[OSM-Talk-ZA] Query re publishing tracks

2021-05-28 Thread Tony Heher
I have been using OSM for some time but am new to adding tracks. Is this
the right forum to ask a question?

I have uploaded tracks and received an email confirming that they have been
accepted and published. However, they do not appear on the map if I
click *View
Map.*
[image: image.png]
But if I click *Edit Map*, they are there.

Can anyone advise what I am doing wrong?

*Background*: This is part of the Mountain Meanders
<https://sites.google.com/view/mountain-meanders-new/Home> wiki which is
documenting around 200 climbing and scrambling routes in the Western Cape.
