 motivé :). C’est corrigé

Ayé, la MàJ d'iD en 2.7.1 a pris en compte les corrections des erreurs 
du bien connu trop motivé luxembourgeois : la cadastre est dans les 
fonds et Route500 dans les calques.

[OSM-talk] OSM based mobile app that allows additional vector data to be loaded

I am looking for an OSM based mobile app which would allow me to load
additional vector data (shape files, KML, geojson, etc) into it.  My reason
for wanting to do this is twofold:

* Not all data belongs in OSM (e.g. cadastral), but sometimes this data is
useful while surveying (cadastral data will help one avoid trespassing).

* Some types of data belong in OSM, but should be field verified first.
For example, one may see something in an overhead image that looks
interesting, but not be able to positively identify it. Its location could
be loaded into the app without adding to OSM, and this would serve to guide
the user to its location in order to survey it.

Do you have any recommendations? I already have OsmAnd, but I don't think
it has this capability.

non ti preoccupare del loro business model, hanno una privacy policy

josm non ha livelli di zoom (credo), ma le tiles possono averle, credo di 
ricordare che puoi cliccare su un livello di tiles (per esempio bing o mapbox) 
nella finestra livelli, e scegliere “zoom to native resolution “ o simile.

No me refería tanto a las etiquetas que definen límites administrativos
como municipio, provincia, y entidades geográficas superiores.
El problema lo encuentro en edificios fuera del núcleo urbano (es decir,
fuera del way etiquetado como landuse=residential). Si no se indica a qué
población pertenecen no veo forma (o a mí se me escapa) de que el
geolocalizador la conozca.
Con respecto al ejemplo que puse, indudablemente es un error que existan
dos edificios con la misma dirección y quizás no fuera el más idóneo pero
era para mostrar cómo el polígono que define el área residencial está
bastante alejado del edificio y aún así este pertenece a esa localidad.
Corregiré también la duplicación de elementos place.

Io uso con soddisfazione Magic Earth.
È completamente free e le mappe sono aggiornate una volta al mese. Legge i
nomi delle strade e le destinazioni delle uscite autostradali. 
Elemento importantissimo: l'algoritmo di calcolo del percorso è ottimo, il
migliore fra le app che ho provato.
Puoi scaricare le mappe offline. In Italia sono 20, divise per regione.
Ha traffico e autovelox inclusi.
Se collochi la fotocamera dello smartphone in modo tale che riprenda la
strada, si attivano le seguenti funzioni avanzate:
– Forward Collision Warning
– Headway Warning
– Lane Departure Warning
– Traffic Sign Recognition
– Pedestrian Collision Warning
– Stop & Go Assist
– Advanced Driver Assistance notifications on your Apple Watch

Mi lascia un po' perplesso il business model: non c'è pubblicità, né

Ho anche OsmAnd, ma lo uso solo come cartina, per farmi un'idea della zona.
Idem per quanto riguarda Maps.me.
Per quanto riguarda Navmii, l'ho provata per un mesetto. Avrebbe grosse
potenzialità: è una sorta di Waze con le mappe OSM. Però ci sono troppi
problemi: mappe aggiornate solo una volta all'anno, non divise per regione,
routing non troppo preciso.

Fra i navigatori basati su Openstreetmap c'è anche Karta GPS, che però non
ho mai provato.

Con i tasti + e - vedo solo il numero presente in alto a sinistra, altri 
non ne vedo, ed è quello riferito alla scala appena sotto il cursore di 
spostamento livello, non so di che numero parli, a meno che tu non abbia 
qualche plugin ce ti fa vedere ciò che cerchi.

Se fai click sulla latitudine o longitudine in basso a sinistra si apre 
una schermata che tra le altre informazioni ha anche "ingrandimento 
visuale"; credo sia quello che cerchi.

A quale zoom level ti riferisci, visto che il numero della scala in alto 
a sinistra non è quello che cerchi!


Se intendi i valori max e min impostabili per il WMS lo trovi nelle 
impostazioni al tab dedicato ai WMS.


Sennò prova ad estendere la spiegazione così si capisce meglio.

highway=speed_camera c'est pour les radars automatique. Par contre, il existe 
les tags de cette page :

Dans JOSM le menu pour taguer se trouve dans : 
Préréglages/édifices/édifices/camera de surveillance 

La boite de dialogue permet de completer le type (dome/directrice...) 
l'orientation, la position... 

Exemple en région lyonnaise (patienter quelques secondes pour l'affichage)

I am part of the SOTM US planning team. We're looking for a great logo design 
for this year's event. We are talking to a few designers, but we would also be 
excited to consider your designs! I don't have a full design brief, but have a 
look at the previous years' logos for some guidance as to design quality and

The timeline for this is short, we need a finished logo by the end of the

[OSM-talk-fr] Import CORINE Land Cover - Attributs bruts comme tags

Bonjour,

on trouve des polygones importés de CORINE Land Cover avec les tags
AREA_HA, id et CODE_12 [1].
Osmose les relève en tant qu’erreurs [2].

Dans le Wiki [3], on lit, à propos de l'import,
"Ne pas perdre d'informations, même si CLC a des types plus riches que OSM"


Seulement, j'en comprends qu'il faudrait, peut-être, laisser le tag
CODE_12 lorsqu'il n'y a pas de correspondance avec les tags OSM [4].

Je ne vois pas d'intérêt à conserver les identifiants CLC (id) (je
présume que la correspondance OSM-CLC pourrait, en grande partie, se
retrouver par traitement SIG)

Enfin, c'est le rôle de l'outil de consultation que d'afficher l'aire
d'une géométrie, comme on peut le voir avec QGIS [5].
L'information est redondante en base (intrinsèque à la géométrie), et
rapidement obsolète. Comme on peut le constater au sein même du jeu de
données original (voir capture QGIS).


Ces tags sont-ils bien à corriger ?


Y a-t'il des moyens de correction de masse qui pourraient être utilisés
? C.-à-d., en pseudo-code :
Pour tous les polygones à tag CODE_12 de valeur 3210 :
  - s'il n'existe pas déjà, ajouter le tag natural=grassland
  - supprimer le tag CODE_12

les a, est de développer la fonctionnalité et proposer une pull 
request... C'est le principe même de Github, et Yohan ne peut pas à lui

Ne. Píše se tam, že se přepočítávají statistiky. Data stahuje Petr někdy po
půlnoci. Já je pak jen využívám. Čas 5:00 ráno je nastaven tak, aby bylo
dost času na stáhnutí a zapracování změn z předchozího dne.

while you can not prove it, you can see abnormalities which are strong
indices. Usually, in a wiki voting there is the same bunch of people (more
or less, say from the same "pool", but with varying composition depending
on the topic), almost all editors with lots of other contributions. If now
suddenly a lot of never heard of people create accounts for the wiki and
their first (and often only) action is voting for a disputed proposal, then
something smells. Even if those were real people, not involved in OSM in
any way, but motivated by someone to register and vote in a certain way, it
wouldn't change anything IMHO, still invalid votes (not to prove formally,
maybe, but could be decided by community consensus).

I would also see the voting part of wiki proposals much less important than
the fact someone writes a proposal (documentation) and integrates the
comments from others. Usually a tag voting should pass unless there are too
few people interested in it or there is really a big problem with the
proposal ;-)

If someone stages sock puppets and you notice it, you can still mark the
voting a dubious (I am aware of one proposal, the motorbike friendly, which
was contested).

Finally, most important voting is with your feet (using the tag for
mapping).

many people sometimes share the same IP address.

thus probably doesnt have an account, thus to participate, they need to
create an account to vote

I've remarked that there are wiki accounts that were only used to
participate in one proposed feature vote (or in multiple votes by the
same user). How can we be sure that these are different users and not
multiple wiki accounts of the same user for cheating in a vote?

[OSM-talk-fr] uMap et protocole oEmbed ?

Bonjour,

Je lance une bouteille à la mer pour savoir comment on pourrait pousser
une issue ou une demande d'évolution du projet uMap ?

La plupart des espaces numériques de travail (collèges et lycées)
commencent à ne plus utiliser l'insertion d'iframe dans le code source
et intègre le protocole oEmbed qui permet de glisser l'url dans un
éditeur de texte et automatiquement on voit apparaître notre contenu
(https://oembed.com/).

Cela fonctionne pour la plupart des contenus pédagogiques :

  * Geogebra, Padlet et autres LearningApps
  * Streaming vidéos : YT, Vimeo, Dailymotion
  * Cartes : OpenstreetMap et sûrement Gmaps

Si j'écris ici c'est que ce protocole n'est pas implémenté dans uMap ce
qui est vraiment dommage car les usages pédagogiques sont nombreux.

Tycker det där är feltaggat. I mitt tycke hör namnet på en BRF hemma i
operator-taggen för en byggnad. Notera att namnet på en fastighet kan
vara något helt annat än namnet på den juridiska person som ägerfastigheten.

strano! ero proprio sicuro di averlo già visto in giro sulla wiki...
hai ragione, è nuovo, comunque sia lo schema historic=tipologia_oggetto è
già in utilizzo quindi di fatto stai solamente specificando (un po') meglio
quello che sospetto molto spesso sia stato mappato come un historic=yes in
mancanza di un tag più appropriato. 
In definitiva stai rispettando quello che dice il wiki "The range of
possible types is open" 

ps: ci sono anche 9 elementi taggati "artifact" e cioè, trasgredendo la
convenzione di usare l'en_GB, lo stesso tag ma in en_US

Hallo,

I will not dispute the numbers in this article, but I do have some
questions on the data behind the numbers.

- Why is a bar considered a men-only place ? Can't it be a trendy
place for all kinds young people to enjoy a good night out ?
  I have seen pubs mentioned in previous articles as well. Where I
live we map "taverns" as pubs. Many taverns are places where families
go on a sunday afternoon to meet, let the children play in the
playground, have an ice-creme, pancake or even full dinner together.
- Why is a toilet without gender tag considered men-only ? Where I
live public toilets have separate sections for women and men, that is
why we do not bother to map gender.
- Why is mapping a brothel considered bad ? Can't it be seen as a
warning for families enjoying a walk with little children to avoid
those areas ? On the other hand the article asks for mapping places
where women feel safe, so isn't this part of it ?
- I think that as far as abortion clinics go that in my country it is
just one of specialisms of the regular hospitals.

So some conclusions might have been made by extrapolation from a local
situation where certain tagging indicates a gender bias. But this does
not mean that the same tagging in an other country is also
gender-biased.

Furthermore, my feeling is that we need a more positive approach to
fix missing data (whether it is caused by gender bias or not).
So instead of "We are group X, we analyzed item Y in OSM, and it's not
there. There are more items Z mapped. Bad OSM"
Can't we go for an approach
"We are group X, we need data on item Y, please help us mapping item
Y, we are grateful if you do, thanks"

I think the latter is more welcoming, more friendly, less criticising
the current mappers (according to the article  "retired white men").
Don't we all want to make OSM friendly for everybody ? including the
current mappers ?

What do you think ? Am I way off ?
