I have a balloon mapping rig ready for deployment anytime. The difficult
part is finding helium on-site.

They mention an open source mapping kit priced at USD 100.

Re: [talk-ph] A tangogps gone mad

2012-05-02 Thread maning sambale
Dear jgc,

Forwarding to the list. I'm not personally aware of anyone using tangogps
among the ph mappers I know.

 Hi Maning,

My server at ousm.fr has been getting tens of thousands of the same
request over the last couple of days, apparently from a tangogps
instance that went into an infinite loop. Allways for exactly the same
 tile:

 112.210.124.209.pldt.net - - [02/May/2012:14:55:59 +0200] GET
 /ousm_tiles/12/3458/1928.png HTTP/1.1 200 15716 - libcurl-agent/1.0
 | tangogps 0.99.3 | 4.4.3

 /ousm_tiles/12/3458/1928.png HTTP/1.1 200 15716 - libcurl-agent/1.0
 | tangogps 0.99.3 | 4.4.3
 etc, etc...

According to geoiplookup, the requests come from an IP address in the
 Philippines.

Maybe you have some idea of who might be using tangogps, maybe in the
Philippines OSM community, and you might let him know that something has
 apparently gone wrong.

 Best regards,

 Jean-Guilhem
