Re: [talk-ph] Batangas City data cleanup
Apologies. What I have done was to delete the name and landuse tags of buildings that have no shop and amenity tags and with a name of "residential" and "commercial". And those with shop and amenity tags were manually reverted with those that have previous names in their history. I overlooked those buildings that have a name but does not have any shop and amenity tags. So more likely those that needed to still be fixed are those buildings that have no shop and amenity tags that previously have a name. As per the training. Due to the use of JOSM, possibly she was trained by those who attended NOAH's OSM training for Batangas-Aurora-Cavite LGUs last November 4, 2016 due to the fact that her first edit was already at the end of the NOAH initiative of OSM mapping (last day of mapping initiative was February 24. Her first edit was Feb 27). Unfortunately, I can't speak for the training module during that time as I was in Tacloban. [talk-ph] Burgos Wind Farm still missing in OSM
While Bangui Wind Farm is already mapped, no one has mapped Burgos Wind Farm in OpenStreetMap since it started operations in 2013. Pililla Wind Farm also is now mapped in detail, despite lack of high resolution imagery. While existing imagery still do not show Burgos Wind Farm, even during its construction, someone should go on a survey and map the windmills, 115 kV transmission line and switchyard, and tourist facilities. It is only the nearby Kapurpurawan Rock Formation and its access road that is mapped, but the Burgos Wind Farm is still not on OpenStreetMap. Someone to go on a survey trip to map it in OSM, or waiting for new Bing (updates of aerial imagery announced in January 2017, and new imagery expected to be rolled out in the following months) and Mapbox Satellite imagery (can be requested) is the only way to map the wind farm and associated facilities (windmills, viewing areas, tourist information center, 115 kV transmission line and switchyard, etc). --TagaSanPedroAko ___ talk-ph mailing list talk-ph@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ph
Re: [talk-ph] Batangas City data cleanup
By the way, it seems the user is on Facebook and it says there that she is with Batangas City's City Planning and Development Office (CPDO): https://www.facebook.com/imeeperez.veedor What I'm surprised with is she is using JOSM. This is not a typical first-user editor so she must have been trained on using JOSM somewhere by someone. On Tue, Apr 18, 2017 at 11:23 AM, Eugene Alvin Villarwrote: > Ouch. Re: [talk-ph] Batangas City data cleanup
Hi Ervin, Unfortunately, you did not really fix her edits. What you should have done instead of doing a wholesale removal of the name=* and landuse=* tags is to check what are the existing tags that were overwritten by the user. For example, you "fixed" way 360903949 by removing the name=* and landuse=* tags. But what you should have done instead is to check the history and restored the old name=Vicmar Plaza tag. https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/360903949/history I am afraid that we will also need to clean-up *your* edits as well. ~Eugene On Tue, Apr 18, 2017 at 12:24 PM, Ervin Malicdemwrote: > Fixed "her" edits for the meantime. > http://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/47891655 > > Ervin M. > *Schadow1 Expeditions* - A Filipino must not be a stranger to his own > motherland. > http://www.s1expeditions.com > > On Tue, Apr 18, 2017 at 11:23 AM, Eugene Alvin Villar > wrote: > >> Ouch. Hi jherome, Thanks for taking care of Batangas. Can you post your mail here as a ticket in https://github.com/OSMPH/papercut_fix ill try to help fix a few i find to be inconsistent lets also track progress in the papercutfix ticket. [talk-ph] Batangas City data cleanup
Batangas City needs to be cleaned up, as the data there is becoming affected (some POI's are being affected). Most edits are being done on weekdays (except holidays), and most of the users are possibly city government employees, which have not disclosed their editing background. I messaged those users or commented on several changesets they did, but they still do not reply. There are too many data already edited for one user to cleanup, and other mappers should do.
