Hi Erwin,

Thanks for the response! Could you share some of the examples where they don’t 
match so we can take a look?

The street names were added from address point data that we have. It was 
conflated from the address points to nearby street segments so it is possible 
that some might not be correct or may actually be for another nearby street, 
which is why I suggest that if you do want to use it it is verified on the 
ground. The address point data was collected through a variety of methods 
including field survey.

By the way, if you're keen on finding streets with missing names in your
neighborhood, you might Simon's QA tool [0] interesting. If you're a JOSM
user, you can also activate the imagery layer [1]

This is Andrew again from the Apple Maps team. We are planning to work on some 
data corrections and improvements to OSM in the Philippines around the road 
network — for example, sometimes there are missing roads or routing issues due 
to incorrect intersections or missing connections. We will make sure to follow 
the appropriate OSM and local guidelines.

In the future we also plan to do some improvements to coastal features and land 
use/land cover polygons, such as parks, university and hospital campuses, 
airports and similar features. Some examples may be things like coastlines and 
national parks that are missing a tag or are from old imports that may not be 
very accurate. I’ll reach out before we start that effort too.
