mapquest is the one but the site is too slow just to create one map. need time and patience just to zoom in and load the page :( i wanted to make route maps of Laguna jeepney routes first before the EDSA buses and jeepneys of Quiapo, Divisoria and the projects of Quezon City thanks --- "I don't need a map! Re: [talk-ph] plotting jeepney routes on OSM
Several options to embed a route map in a webpage: 1. Use open.mapquest.com, define a route and then get the embed code. For example, this route: http://mapq.st/p3cUIJ . Hit the "send to" and select the "your website" tab. You will be given an embed code like this: http://open.mapquest.com/embed?hk=pX7XLK"; marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"> 2. Create a custom openlayers instance, some tips here: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Openlayers_Track_example https://rejo.zenger.nl/overig/embedding-osm-map-your-track-in-web-page On a related note, I think a nice sub-project for everyone is to map bus/jeepney routes in their own patches. Re: [talk-ph] plotting jeepney routes on OSM
Have a look at this one (below) - bus route. It is using GM rather than Openlayers and OSM. This might help. http://metromate.coomsie.com/ Noli On 8/17/11, tutubi wrote: > Hi! > > any idea how to do plot the routes of say jeepneys and buses in the metro > on OSM? > > I have blog posts on this topic like the one for divisoria, quiapo and those > going to Projetcs of quezon city: > > http://www.backpackingphilippines.com/2010/11/how-to-get-to-divisoria-map-jeepney.html > http://www.backpackingphilippines.com/2010/11/jeproks-project-quezon-city-jeepney.html > > is it possible to just define multiple markers to mark the routes over OSM? > I don't like to > draw them manually over a JPEG map. > > I know the jeepneys routes of several places including Laguna and Rizal (to > some extent). > I can even plot the EDSA bus routes too > > can i just create the route then point to a single link like > markers/pushpins? > > -- > --- > I explore, therefore I blog. > > http://www.backpackingphilippines.com > ___ talk-ph mailing list talk-ph@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ph
[talk-ph] plotting jeepney routes on OSM
Hi! any idea how to do plot the routes of say jeepneys and buses in the metro on OSM? I have blog posts on this topic like the one for divisoria, quiapo and those going to Projetcs of quezon city: http://www.backpackingphilippines.com/2010/11/how-to-get-to-divisoria-map-jeepney.html http://www.backpackingphilippines.com/2010/11/jeproks-project-quezon-city-jeepney.html is it possible to just define multiple markers to mark the routes over OSM? I don't like to draw them manually over a JPEG map. I know the jeepneys routes of several places including Laguna and Rizal (to some extent). I can even plot the EDSA bus routes too can i just create the route then point to a single link like markers/pushpins? -- --- I explore, therefore I blog. http://www.backpackingphilippines.com ___ talk-ph mailing list talk-ph@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ph
