Fun more work, That will be a fun couple of days work adding routes
for every South Eastern Train, and then I'll have to get on to the
Medway buses too.

Nice map shame about the lack of data guess we'll just have to add it.

Peter.

Personally I would suggest that if its Painted on the road, its
Physically Present, whether the flag is there or not. I would suggest
that a bus stop that is not physically_present is one that is not
marked in any way shape or form, but a location where bus stop to take
on, or set down passengers. (This may include out side a Train Station
when a rail replacement service is running)

If the flag is missing, feel free to put that in the notes (unless
there is a tag for such things)

(Maybe a railreplacement=yes tag might not be a bad idea)

Hmm I'll find my theodolite, trundle wheel, and compass and go map the tube.

Ok I spouse I need stop markers for different number of carriages.
What about the back of the train?

Also I guess we are going to need a tag to say "The last set of doors
will not open" as the platform is not long enough.

Maybe we should have door marks, ie Rather than say the train stops
here say where the doors should be; I've seen these marked on the
platform in some parts of the world and parts of the Tube have
automatic doors fixed to the platform!

[Talk-transit] London Bridge

2009-09-18 Thread Peter Childs
I've been trying to sort out the Map of London Bridge Station.

Its very difficult as London Bridge is based on about 6 layers with
random escalators, lifts and ramps connecting it up.

I'm thinking the building should only cover parts with a roof on and
hence really needs cutting up.

Is there a marker I can put up to say where the trains actually stop
and that you need to move down the platform.

Oh and the whole station seams to be done from a mix of Guess Work,
Ground Knowledge, Yahoo Imaging, and the Odd GPS plot but its near
impossible to get a GPS lock under ground and even on the platform due
to the SkyScrapers its quite hard work with the limited device I've
got.

Anyone got a Zoom Layer beyond level 19 so I can see what I'm doing
and pace the station out..

Peter.

I suspect we may find quite a few of these.

Round us in Kent, we have Commuter Coaches that have there own stops
that are nothing to do with the Local Bus company(s) so I doubt they
are in Naplan but they do have regular buses.

I don't think Medway has been imported yet so I can't say. (Note to
self must add Medway to list)
