[Talk-us] intertwined ways in Austin TX
Hey, I'm in Austin TX right now, and while looking for stuff to correct, I noticed all of the boulevard streets have the two ways intertwined at each intersection, messing up the oneway settings, and generally not being right. SteveC mentioned someone out there has a script to correct this specific problem? thanks, jess ___ Talk-us mailing list Talk-us@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/talk-us

I remember this being referred to as braiding if that jogs anyone's memory... I think I remember seeing it in SVN somewhere. Re: [Talk-us] Clark County, Nevada Street Center Line data
Joseph, before you embark on this endeavor, make sure that the data is better than the data that was already imported from TIGER. More than likely, it is. I can help you with the convert shapefile to .osm step, as I am slowly working on the SHP - OSM script mentioned previously on this list. A little quality time with Google and the FAQ led me to this: - Download SCL shapefiles from gisgate.co.clark.nv.us. - Convert the data from State Plane Feet to Lon/Lat (WGS-84). - Convert the shapefiles to .osm format. - Use JOSM to compare and upload the county data. That last step is going to take some time.
