Greg - I don't have strong feelings one way or another, but since this is
spatial data, it's easy to figure out the state and country. City not so
much, Often it's a postal city code even though the location is in
unincorporated areas. But like you I do sometimes look at the tiger tags on
a way to see which county it's in.

Best,
Clifford

I forgot to mention that these tags where handy when an influx of seo spam
hit my area. There was no second thought about deleting the spam when
there were Washington, South Carolina, and what not in the seo spam
addresses.

I have a different opinion on this subject. I always add these two tags. We
are an international map. If he has the data already, I don't see why they
shouldn't be added. My view is shaped by living in a border state.

Hi Tommy,
Yes, I agree that existing addresses should be kept. When I wrote that I
removed duplicates, what I actually meant was that I removed duplicates of
existing addresses from the addresses that I am planning to add. That is
to say that only missing addresses will be added. Sorry about being
unclear.
Thanks!
Leif

A couple of things First you have two tags that are not needed, addr:state
and addr:country.

The other is a question on how you plan to conflate address? A quick glance
showed that some of the new address nodes are a few meters away from the
building polygon - with an address. With a large import - it could be hard
to catch.
