New York's Monthly tango festival bringing dancers form all over the world. This month, L.A. invades NYC Performing at midnight, winners of the US open salon competition in NYC, Brian Nguyen and Yuliana Basmajyan from Los Angeles. DJ Lampis Zalavras also from L.A. Hosted by Robin Thomas (who will be dancing more than I usually do thanks to Lampis' amazing music). Intermediate class 9-10 taught by Brian and Yuliana. Dancing 10-3:30 Chacareras at 2am. entrance $12 $7 college students with ID. No BYOB about Brian and Yuliana Brian and Yuliana, winners of the open salon competition this year in NYC, also made their mark in Buenos Aires as Finalists in Tango Mundial 2010, Salon category. As one of the leading couples in the west coast, they travel around the U.S. and Canada to share their knowledge of the roots of tango. Their masters include Javier Rodriguez, Geraldine Rojas, Carlos Perez and Jorge Dispari to name a few. Today, Brian and Yuliana continue to inspire with the quality of their movement and devotion for the traditional style of Argentine Tango.
