make bzImage (=== ada pesan kesalahan)

saya kompile kernel 2.6.3, setelah saya pake
perintah

O=/usr/master/kernal, selama proses ini
berlangsung
ada tampilan yang menyatakan
bahwa file bzImagenya telah ada, tapi berdasarkan
file
README nya maka
saya teruskan dengan perintah make bzImage tapi
yang
muncul tulisan

pada saat saya membuat make O=/usr/master/kernal
menuconfig
module loadable support nya saya sudah enable juga

Sayang anda tidak menuliskan urutan perintah yg nda
berikan saat
compile kernel, jadi saya tidak tahu apakah sebelum
eksekusi make
anda telah meng-konfigurasi-kannya ato belum.
Kalo yang biasa saya lakukan utk kernel 2.6.x adalah
perintah berikut:
make mrproper make menuconfig
make make modules_install
cp arch/i386/boot/bzImage /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.x
cp System.map /boot/System.map-2.6.x
Lalu edit bootloader, reinstall bootloader, reboot.

O=... itu hanya untuk ngasih tau make agar semua modules dan bzImagenya anti
di taruh di /usr/master/kernel

error ini terjadi karena kamu jalankan make mrproper setelah configure.
mrproper menghapus semua modules dan .config
padahal .config itu dibutuhkan untuk membuat modules.
make mrproper hanya di jalankan sebelum kamu make menuconfig

saudara2 semuanya mau nanya nich jika kita punya harddisk 20GB dan planning mau bikin squid di server itu (buat proxy) bagusnya gimana nich misalkan anggap untuk /, /usr, /var dialokasikan sekitar 8GB (ini misalkan). Terus sisanya 12GB buat /cache apakah langsung dibuat 12GB seluruhnya atau bagusnya dibagi-bagi lagi misalnya saya bikin 4 buah partisi misal /cache1, /cache2, /cache3, /cache4 dan masing2 itu partisinya 3GB. Terus di squid.conf nya dibuat kayak gini : cache_dir ufs /cache1 3000 16 256 cache_dir ufs /cache2 3000 16 256 cache_dir ufs /cache3 3000 16 256 cache_dir ufs /cache4 3000 16 256 Mohon informasinya :), biar nantinya di proxy itu bisa kerasa cepet :) makasih nich sebelumnya. Nimbrung dikit. kecepatan proxy salah satunya emang ada di h/w server. semakin tinggi speknya, semakin yahud tarikannya. tapiada juga yg bilang kondisi diatas tidak akan berpengaruh kalo setting squid tidak optimal. Saya sudah berhasil menggunakan cdrecord. Langkah yg saya lakukan a.l: 1. Menambahkan baris berikut ke /etc/modules.conf alias scsi_hostadapter ide-scsi 2. Menambahkan hdc=ide-scsi ke /boot/grub/menu.lst di baris yg terdapat opsi kernel. Sehingga menjadi: kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20-8 ro root=LABEL=/ hdc=ide-scsi 3. Yth, Semoga pengalaman saya dulu menginstall Rockwell/Connexant bisa menyasar ke jawaban. Modem2 tersebut dikenali sebagai /dev/ttySHCF0 atau /dev/ttySHSF0 bukannya /dev/ttyS0. Sehingga kemungkinan wvdialconf tidak dapat mendeteknya. Dengan demikian kemungkinan dan perlu mengedit wvdial.conf secara manual. coba lakukan sbb: #cd /dev #ls ttyS* apakah ada ttyS* yang seperti ttySHCF0 atau ttySHSF0? I have 3 tables : appointment, appointment0 and

the fields of table appointment are as follows:
noapp* (int4):ID Number of appointment (PK)
custid (int4) : Customer ID
salesid (int4) : Sales ID
date(date) : Date of appointment
time(time) : Time of appointment
todo(char(150)) : What's to do with them
done(char(1)): whether done (N/Y)
warned (char(1)): whether warned with prompt
timestamp (timestamp) : timestamp of record
appointment0 and appointment1 have exactly the
same field names as what appointment has.
But...
1. the population of appointment0 and appointment1
are the subset of appointment
2. what the appointment0 has are the members of
appointment whose Y as the value of fieldname
done.
3. and what appointmnet1 has are the members of
appointment whose N as the value of fieldname
done.
I want if my program inserted, updated, deleted the
record of appointment than the postgres does the
syncronization to the corresponded tables
(appointment0 or appointment1 or both).
Is it possible to implement this strategy with
trigger? But how?

[tanya-jawab] Nanya Compile kernel di RH
Saya sudah mencoba mengikuti langkah langkah compile kernel sesuai dengan saran beberapa teman lewat milist ini yaitu make mrproper Make menuconfig make make modules_install tapi ternyata hasilnya masih sama masih keluar pesan : Make file : 393 : .Config : No such file or directory The present kernel configuration has module disabled Type 'make config' and enable loadable module support then build a kernel with module support enable make:***[modules] Error 1 Waktu pertama kali dulu saya melakukan compile kernel dengan kernel 2.6.3 proses telah berhasil, malahan waktu itu file lilo.conf nya ter-edit sendiri waktu itu perintah yang saya masukkan adalah: make menuconfig make make modules modules_install cuma waktu reboot, kernel baru nya tidak mengenali partisi root, akhirnya saya mencoba compile ulang dengan terlebih dahulu mengembalikan file lilo.conf ke semula. tapi sampai sekarang ternyata gagal terus. malahan saya sudah mencoba ganti kernel 2.6.2 dan juga mengganti dengan mencoba di hardisk yang lain, juga dengan memformat ulang hardisk kemudian menginstall RH 9 yang baru, tapi hasilnya tetap gagal masih keluar pesan seperti diatas. Tambahan informasi bahwa saya melakukan compile dengan prosesor Athlon 1,8 GHz, dengan motherboard K7SOM+, RAM 256 MB, mohon bantuannya sekiranya ada teman teman yang tahu tentang ini. terima kasih Monika __ Do you Yahoo!?
