Milis, saya lagi coba buat mailserver dengan Postfix katakanlah abc.com, sedangkan sebelumnya sudah ada Exchange dengan def.com, sebagian user di Exchange akan di migrasikan ke Postfix. [tanya-jawab] Membuat Server Email dan Reverse proxy.
Milis, Lagi ada keperluan untuk migrasi mail server, sebelumnya rencana akan menggunakan Zimbra, tetapi setelah membaca beberapa referensi jadi mempertimbangkan Postfix juga, pertanyaannya : Mulai mempertimbangkan Postfix karena baca referensi Zimbra butuh resource yang lumayan untuk user yang banyak, rencananya sekitar 500 user yang akan dimigrasikan dengan server yang dipakai IBM x3200 memory 4Gb, server akan dipakai juga sebagai reverse proxy. Mungkin ada saran bagaimana spec server untuk Zimbra dengan 500 user ? Kalau dilihat dari kemudahan proses instalasi, seperti nya Zimbra lebih mudah ya dibaningkan dengan Postfix ? [tanya-jawab] Koneksi ssh membuat hang (was : Re: vmware esx dengan ubuntu sering hang)
untuk maintenance nya saya sering menggunakan ssh. anehnya kenapa sering tiba2 koneksi ssh putus dan vmware nya harus direboot ? ada yang pernah mengalami hal ini ? menyambung masalah diatas, hari ini kok seperti nya tambah parah, begitu remote server dengan ssh, langsung server hang dan harus di reboot, pagi ini sudah 2 kali minta reboot :(, awalnya kejadian ini ketika saya remote ke server yang sama dengan 2 terminal agak cukup lama bisa konek sebelum akhirnya hang, semenjak itu remote server dengan ssh jadi bermasalah. Mungkin nggak ketika koneksi putus host masih mengcache koneksi tersebut, semakin sering koneksi putus tanpa disconnect dengan benar, semakin menumpuk cache ssh. Dear Milis, Baca2 dari Internet didapati untuk keamanan web server apache diharuskan menggunakan modul mod_security di apache. Coba pake IP lokal di reverse ke lokal dengan network yang kita tahu pasti itu tidak berfirewall dll. kalau sudah bekerja dengan baik baru diganti dengan konfigurasi yang seharusnya rgds, internet = ip public (202.1.1.1) = nic1(192.168.1.1) nic2(10.2.2.17) = lan dari pc 10.2.2.85 (lan) aku akses web browser ke 192.168.1.1 dan 10.2.2.17 bisa tetapi dari 202.1.1.1 tidak bisa, pc 10.2.2.85 biasa dipakai internetan. dengan cara seperti ini harusnya cukup membuktikan bahwa koneksi ke web server tidak ada masalah kan ? atau ada cara lain ? terima kasih. Milis, apa yang harus di cek jika web tidak bisa diakses dari luar ? ip public misal 200.1.1.1 ip lokal 10.2.2.17 di dalamnya aku pasang apache sebagai reverse proxy. Milis, kita lagi develop web, dan itu ditempatkan di LAMP dengan IP local, kebetulan di kantor juga sudah live server IIS dengan IP Public, pertanyaannya dapatkah di server IIS dihubungkan ke server apache nya, jadi dengan ip public yang dipunyai server IIS bisa akses ke web server apache? Milis, Ada cara nggak di postfix supaya email yang dikirim tidak memenuhi bandwidth jaringan ? karena setiap ada kiriman file baik besar atau kecil selalu memenuhi bandwidth dan mengacaukan koneksi lain terutama untuk SAP. That isn't always available. Yang ini aku belum coba, karena aku harus bikin router lagi :) As a next best solution, I've found that limiting concurrent outbound connections [1] makes MTAs co-exist much better with other network services. I usually try three or four, and modify from there. Rekan milis ysh, Aku ada beberapa pc windows di jaringan yang spt nya terkena virus. Ada hal2 aneh berikut ini : - saat ambil file untuk di attach, jendela folder yang terbuka di folder tertentu tiba2 ngeclose sendiri - terkadang lama sekali ambil file / open folder untuk attachment - file M$ Office membengkak padahal isinya ga rumit2 amat. aku sudah coba pake Norman tetapi tetap tidak menemukan ada virus. dear milis, Aku pakai pc lama (P1) untuk Print Server (LRP). Jika print server tersebut dipakai untuk cetak document selain dari SAP normal, tetapi jika cetak dari SAP font nya berubah, tidak seperti cetakan standard di printer lain. Aku coba beberapa hal : - printer yang error tsb dicoba konek ke pc lain dan cetak documen dari SAP, hasil cetakan standart normal. - reinstall driver nya juga ga ngefek. dear milis :) Aku baru saja upgrade dari Ubuntu Dapper ke Gusty, seperti sebelumnya aku selalu men-disable IPv6, dan beberapa pertanyaanku : - kalau aku route -n, selalu ada link-local. kira2 apa ya fungsinya ? referensi juga gpp :) - pc yang aku pakai kadang2 kupakai juga untuk konek internet, agar tidak mengganggu routing ke LAN aku tambahkan /etc/ppp/ip-up.local dan /etc/ppp/ip-down.local (mengganti default route), kalau di sebelumnya (dapper-red) konfigurasi ini jalan, saat konek ke internet koneksi ke LAN tetep jalan. tetapi saat aku konfigurasikan ke Gusty, saat konek ke internet, aku coba ping ke salah satu pc local hasilnya sbb : redirect host (new nexthop: 10.216.145.65) bisa dijelaskan kenapa hasilnya spt diatas ? - saat di Dapper aku tetap bisa jalankan Terminal Server Client ke PC di LAN saat konek ke internet, tetapi sejak pakai Gusty saat konek ke Internet, Terminal Server Client nya selalu error : connection reset by peer, bagaimana cara nya supaya aku tetep bisa pakai Terminal Server Client saat koneksi ke Internet ? aku sudah coba cari bantuan di internet, tetapi belum ketemu jawaban yang tepat. mohon sharingnya, terima kasih sebelum dan sesudahnya. salam, Popo This e-mail message may contain legally privileged and/or confidential information. Popo. Itu dia Pak Popo. Salah satu kesulitan untuk migrasi ke Software Bebas (baik yang free license price hingga juga free open source code) adalah masalah keyakinan perusahaan. Untuk perusahaan skala besar yang duitnya banyak, mereka selalu ingin punya solusi yang jaminannya sustainable. Seperti yang telah disitir Pak Sufehmi sebelumnya, bahwa banyak vendor yang hit-and-run. Dari yang pasang sistem terus kabur atau bahkan umur perusahaannya nggak lama (bangkrut, dll). Lantas siapa yang meneruskan support seandainya sistem sudah live dan memasuki masa production. Karena itu banyak perusahaan besar cenderung memilih pakai brand terjamin (entah Microsoft, Sun, IBM, HP, dsb.) sehingga jika seandainya ditinggal vendornya masih ada alternatif dari principal-nya. Selain itu masing-masing principal mengembangkan partnership seperti Microsoft/IBM/Sun/HP Gold/Silver/etc Partner. Jadi client dapat juga menilai kualitas vendor dari tingkat partnership dengan Principal. Tentunya terkait risk management. Salah satu Bank yang pernah jadi client saya juga saat ini push semua solusi dari vendor harus Microsoft-based. Sudah sulit untuk diterima solusi aplikasi, database, dll kalau bukan Microsoft (kecuali yang critical dan tidak ada alternatif lain). Sampai intrik-intrik bilang Tokonya Microsoft :D. Whatever intriknya, policy jalan terus untuk memudahkan maintenance management dari production system. Saya yakin konsep enterprise system (centralized maupun distributed) semestinya kelompok UNIX sudah sangat matang, lha wong jauh lebih dulu dibanding jenis Windows dkk. Solusi desktop mungkin seperti catatan Mbak Titiek masih dalam persaingan ketat dengan Microsoft. Tampaknya persoalan terbesar ada pada sangat beragamnya solusi dan terbatasnya jaminan sustainability yang mungkin diberikan tanpa harus bergantung pada satu vendor. Misalkan implementasi alfresco sebagai solusi document management dilakukan oleh satu vendor, dan vendor tersebut kabur atau bangkrut maka kemudian kira-kira sebanyak apa cari vendor penggantinya. Mungkin kalau kelompok open source dapat menguatkan barisan untuk menyaring solusi-solusi enterprise sejak NOC/data center hingga desktop management agar lebih selektif dalam memberikan alternatif boleh jadi akan ada peralihan kecenderungan dari client yang saat ini proprietary-based. Paling tidak ada pasar di level small-med enterprise dan government lah yang siap menampung solusi sustainable tersebut. Misalkan (maaf kalau sudah ada karena saya jarang browsing hal ini) dapat dibuat sebuah asosiasi solusi open source dengan portal bersama. Di sana ada ragam solusi untuk modul/fungsi-fungsi tertentu dari mulai application server, database server, network and security, desktop management, specific application (ERP, accounting, dll.). Di daftar juga perusahaan anggota asosiasi dan pengalaman-pengalaman dalam mengimplementasikan dan memberikan support pada setiap jenis solusi. Ada juga knowledge-based, best-practice, success story, dll dalam implementasi solusi. Dengan demikian, asosiasi/komunitas tersebut bisa jadi sebuah knowledge social capital yang berpeluang memberikan jaminan terhadap keberhasilan dan sustainability solusi-solusi open source. Sehingga risk yang ditanggung organisasi pengguna akan jauh lebih kecil. Kita dapat rating vendor solusi open source seperti Platinum/Gold/Silver partner dengan mengungkapkan jenis implementasi/support yang pernah diberikan dan rating kepuasan dari client. Dengan adanya komunitas/asosiasi dengan one-stop-solution-and-warranty di Indonesia, saya yakin sosialisasi dan propagasi penggunaan open source akan lebih baik dan berhasil. dear milis, :) kebetulan kemarin habis service pc windows yg full virus, dari situ agak sedikit ragu juga apa bener linux itu bebas virus ? Buktinya ada antivirus for linux (walaupun umumnya antivirus linux utk scanning email, fileshare dll). Namun perkembangan virus di linux tidak secepat perkembangan virus di windows. Sudah ada teman di milis ini yg pernah coba pakai voip antar cabang. Pusat pakai cbn, cabang pakai speedy, katanya dia gagal juga pakai voiprakyat, akhirnya develop server asteriks sendiri. Informasi tambahan, instal asteriks jauh lebih mudah daripada setup smtp auth dengan postfix. Katanya kalau cuma 1 session voice bagus tapi begitu dipakai 2 session bersamaan, satu bagus satu jelek. Yg di cabang yg pakai speedy bagus, soale downstreamnya kan besar (200kbps), but upstreamnya kecil (64kbps). Setelah mysqlimport, jika tidak ada error akan menjalankan perintah insert tgl dan jam saat itu ke table_updt, yg isinya tgl dan jam tabel (dalam contoh diatas) material di update, selanjutnya data tsb akan ditampilkan di web page.
