Are you using Bat in network mode or in Stand alone mode? (I mean not
the setting in Network dialog, but whether your accounts are accessed
simultaneously from various machines on LAN or all things are local).

Try copying *.SRT (not *.srx) file from working account into the buggy
one. !!! But before doing so, backup all *.SRX _and_ *.SRT files from
the buggy account!!!

Try deleting *.srt and *.srx files from the buggy account, copy SRX
file from working account...

Well, all you filters are stored in these two files, so play with them
- may be the problem is that one or both of them got corrupted...

But be careful! Think before doing anything! And always be sure you
can restore all the things back! (for this purpose, backup the whole
MAIL folder as well as all TB registry settings).

KG> Running The BAT! 1.39 on Windows 98 SE German

Are you sure? The headers of your mail say you are using 1.38 ...

KG> X-Mailer: The Bat! (v1.38) S/N A1D26E39 / Educational

Upgrade can solve your problem, may be...

TF> I think it's not possible, and I would like it to be possible.

To copy filters (though, you'll overwrite the already created filters
in the destination account by this procedure), just copy *.srt and
*.srx files from one account's folder to another's (before copying,
exit from TB).

If the filters in both source and destination accounts sort mail into
folders of a third account, then all will be Ok.

If you want to recreate account structure of source account in
destination account (so that the filters work separately in each
account, though similar), then before copying filters, create all the
folders.

If the source account's filters filter mail into folders of the same
account, then you'll have to edit all filters after copying them and
adjust the destination folders in filters' properties.

HTH.

Use TB to sort your mail! - was - Re[3]: new beta

Dear Chuck Mattsen,

Leif>> No, it accidentally got posted to TBUDL instead of TBBETA. At

CM> Phew... okay, good ... I'm usually pretty good at spotting those, and

Then use TB's filters to filter out mails you should pay attention to!
I use special filters (I've put them just before TBUDL and TBBETA
filters) to move mails coming from ritlabs.com domain into a special
folder (you can copy them there and enable further rules processing,
if you don't want to break threads). Thus I always see postings from
Max, Stephen and others RITLabs guys :)

Hello Thomas,

Oh, of course it is possible! Not within TB, but it is. Just exit TB,
go to you MAIL directory with your favorite file browser and copy the
adequate ACCOUNT.SRX (or ACCOUNT.SRT, but you shouldn't have it
anymore) to a directory of a different account.

Just FYI: quick templates are in ACCOUNT.QTN -- you may copy them too.
ACCOUNT.CFG stores the rest of account configuration, except for
folders, which are stored in ACCOUNT.FLX.

Attached dupes.

2000-01-28 Thread Fredrik Bergström

Dear TBBETA,

I found that when killing dupes, the attached files to the dupes is
kept.

When A e-mail with an attached file is received, and the file already
exists, the file is renamed to 'name1.ext', If the mail is a dupe, the
mail is removed, not the file.

I know that the file if removed is lost forever, but its a dupe,
rigth?
=)..

Regards, Fredrik Bergstrom
